Miss Omar performed my laparoscopy to treat my endometriosis. Her bedside manner was horrible and I actually called the PALS at PRUH to ask if I could have a different consultant. I was initially booked to see another consultant who was very understanding of my situation (endometriosis with difficulty getting pregnant after 3 years of trying) who explained my options. Due to covid my appointment was cancelled and he had left the hospital when I could get the laproscopy rearranged. Miss Omar was not going to see me before my lap but I insisted. When I entered the room she greeted me with "so what do you want?". Having undergone IVF I knew I had a large cyst on my right ovary and there was a potential the entire ovary may need removing and that is what I wanted to discuss but Miss Omar just did not care about the patient. She said it's wasn't practical to discuss options with me, she would decide. I had to make it clear to her via PALS I did not want my ovary removed. On the morning of the surgery she was pleasant but after the surgery I discovered she had not removed my uterine polyp, which she said she would and it does not seem she examined the state of my left ovary or of my fallopian tubes. I have no idea how the endometriosis is actually affect me - that was one of the key reasons to have it done. The note from my surgery was 1 line long and I have had no replies to my follow up questions sent to Miss Omar directly and sent via PALS. I now have to go through the entire lap again or a number of other treatments to find out how the endometriosis is affecting me and my fertility. 4 periods after my lap the pain is worse than was before (I now feel nauseous and sick when I have a period, I didn't have this before). I feel like the whole treatment was a waste of time. If she didn't want to treat me then she should have just passed me on to someone else who cares about their patients, which I did ack for.

Would not use her , I was a NHS patient and she made me feel like I was worthless , I had been to her a few times due to bleeding after a car accident she told me I have a heavy womb and would need a hysterectomy , I went and had a second opinion and that was not the case , she did a bladder and bowel repair for me and left me with a bad infection which caused the operation to fail , I’m left with a whole that won’t close up causing me to keep getting infections and skin tags that look awful , when I went back and told her she told me there nothing more she can do for me and told me to go somewhere else , she is so rude , and I will be taking things further

Miss Omar is an incredible gynaecologist. She changed my life with my diagnosis & operation. I wouldn’t ever recommend another gynaecologist & you are definitely in safe hands with her.

I had the misfortune to have Miss Omar as my Consultant and quite honestly she was rude and abrupt. If I had spoken to a professional person at the hospital like that I would gave been reprimanded. Therefore unlike the previous reviews I would not recommend her. In fact I wionder if I saw the same person as previous reviews have stated.
